Tunasonga Pamoja: a story by Futbol Mas Kenya

A journey to the heart of Mathare and Kibera, where sport transforms lives and opens doors to inspiration, friendship and development for girls, boys and young people

Fútbol Más is an organization that promotes the well-being of children and youth by strengthening their resilience, meaningful bonds and community cohesion through games and sports.

The documentary goes to the heart of Mathare and Kibera, two of the largest informal settlements in the world, where soccer has become a tool for change. Through this story, it shows the impact of the community center, a key space where girls, boys and young people find opportunities, friendship and a path for their development thanks to sport and teamwork.

On Friday 4 April, Baikirola and Fútbol Más invite you to the screening of ‘Tunasonga Pamoja’, a documentary that shows the impact of sport on communities in Nairobi.

In addition to the screening, we will have a round table with experts and associations to discuss sport, children and human rights. We will also present our crowdfunding campaign, aimed at raising funds for the programmes in Kenya, and we will close the event with a networking space.

On Wednesday 9 April, Baikirola and Football Plus invite you to the screening of ‘Tunasonga Pamoja’, a documentary that shows the impact of sport on communities in Nairobi.

In addition to the screening, the event will feature two panel discussions.

Panel 1: Sport for Development as a Tool for Social Transformation
In this session, representatives from social organisations and the field of cooperation will share their vision on the role of sport in the promotion of children’s rights and its capacity to generate impact in communities such as Mathare and Kibera, in Kenya.
Panel 2: Social Entrepreneurship and Positive Impact through Sport
In this second panel, we will explore how social entrepreneurship can drive change through sport, with the participation of TeamLabs and Acumen, entities that support innovation and the development of projects with a social purpose.

We will also present our crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for programmes in Kenya and close the event with a networking space.
